Mechatronic sensor for active and passive safety of processes and systems

The mechatronic sensor of Möller Technology Consultants (Möller TC / MTC) is regarded as an intelligent sensor because of its application as composite or network system.

It is made up of:

• a piezoelectric oscillator that transmits vibrations to a structure and
• a piezoelectric sensor that resonates with the structure and gives off a steering signal.

The sensor is applied if one or several of the following aspects are to be utilised:

• no switching delay
• no preload problems
• variable sensor
• release in the area of 10 ppm
• self-monitoring
• power input below 1000 mW.

The sensor is used in the registration of critical, hazardous system states and current application areas include medical technology, automisation technology, as well as mechanical engineering.
